ABOUT

Twenty One Pilots is my favorite band to listen to, and being part of the fanbase I draw lots of inspiration from everyone. I try to take part in as many collaborations as I can so I can push myself to come up with ideas for all of the amazing prompts and themes everyone comes up with. It also helps me continue to practice drawing the human body, learning how to cultivate my art style, and see where my chaotic process takes me!

Cliquetober

Cliquetober is inspired by Inktober, and is hosted on Instagram and Twitter. I discovered the project in 2020, and I thought that it would be a great way to practice creating artwork for daily prompts. Cliquetober- named after the band twenty one pilots’ fanbase called The Skeleton Clique/The Clique- is centered around the lore created by the band.

I was honored to have the chance to be part of a recent collaboration that @artbytheclique made for the two year anniversary of the band’s 2018 album Trench, and the people I worked with during the collab had inspired me to work on both 2020 and 2021’s editions of Cliquetober. This has been one of the most fun things I’ve done during my spare time, and it’s helped me practice generating small but detailed prompts for daily uploading.

Trench 2nd Anniversary: Levitate Track

I, along with eleven other artists, four musicians, and a dancer, were chosen to create a collaboration dedicated to the2nd anniversary of Twenty One Pilots’ release of their 2018 album Trench. The song specifically chosen for us was Levitate.

I was originally just the graphic designer, however upon hearing that the original video editor needed to drop out, I offered to fill the position since I have experience creating videos.

This project lasted from July to October, and throughout the months all seventeen of us were in constant communication- providing feedback, advice, and ideas that others could use. We checked in weekly with our moderator, making sure everyone stayed on track, and offered feedback when asked.

SAI 1st Anniversary: Never Take It Track

For Scaled and Icy’s 1st Anniversary, I was chosen to be an artist and the video editor for the group, and I worked alongside 21 artists, musicians, and a dancer.

The idea was to have the artwork’s slowly increase in saturation throughout the video, starting with muted colors that reflected the album. I also wanted to include a unique element within the video, so I came up with the karaoke style lyrics within Adobe After Effects.

SAI 1st Anniversary: Saturday Track

Upon hearing that the Saturday’s group needed both a video editor and graphic designer, I happily volunteered to fill in. This group contained 16 artists and musicians, and the idea for the artists was to put our own spin on a scene from the music video.
